Answer
Bluetooth is a wireless connection.
When two Bluetooth devices make connection they check to see witch Bluetooth protocol have the other device. Only devices that have the same protocol can handshake and transfer data between them. There are several Bluetooth protocols that defines the functionality and the command of the data exchanging between the devices. For regular Mono Bluetooth communication protocols HSP (Handset Profile) and HFP (Hands Free Profile) are used. For advanced and stereo Bluetooth technology protocols A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) and AVRCP (Audio / Video Remote Control Profile) are used.
